Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Alat bantu mengajar amat penting dalam proses pengajaran. Pengaplikasian alat bantu mengajar dalam proses PdP adalah perlu bagi guru agar penyampaian maklumat disampaikan dengan lebih jelas dan sistematik agar lebih mudah difahami. Penyelidikan ini bertujuan membangun dan mengaplikasikan alat bantu mengajar Pengatucaraan Kawalan Logik (PLC) sebagai sarana bagi membantu guru dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan pencapaian akademik pelajar pada kursus motor elektrik di sekolah vokasional. Alat bantu ini telah dibangunkan oleh penyelidik berdasarkan model reka bentuk ADDIE dan telah disahkan oleh tiga orang pakar. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kuasi eksperimen dan melibatkan dua kumpulan pelajar yang mempelajari kursus motor elektrik. Populasi (N=333) dalam kajian ini adalah pelajar sekolah vokasional tingkatan 3 di kawasan Aceh, Indonesia. Bilangan sampel adalah seramai 98 orang, terdiri dari kumpulan rawatan (n=50) dan kumpulan kawalan (n=48) yang dipilih dengan teknik rawak kluster. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam kajian ini ujian pra-pos, protokol temu bual dan analisis dokumentasi bagi mendapatkan triangulasi data. Ujian pra dan pos telah dijalankan untuk menilai kefahaman pelajar tentang topik pengaturcaraan PLC. Nilai kebolehpercayaan KR20 item soalan ujian pra dan pos adalah 0.97. Selepas rawatan, ujian pos diberikan untuk menganalisis perbezaan kesan antara penggunaan kaedah konvensional dengan penggunaan kit yang dibangunkan. Hasil analisis deskriptif mendapati bahawa kumpulan rawatan (min=80.56; SD=3.477) menunjukkan pencapaian akademik yang lebih baik berbanding kumpulan kawalan (min=71.02; SD=3.3.987) dengan perbezaan antara kedua kumpulan tersebut ialah 9.54%. Pada akhir kajian ini, keputusan telah menunjukkan kesan positif terhadap pemahaman dan pencapaian akademik pelajar pada topik pengaturcaraan pada kursus motor elektrik. Sehubungan itu, dapatan kajian ini dapat dijadikan asas untuk memotivasi guru-guru untuk melakukan inovasi pembelajaran melalui pembangunan ABM. Kajian ini pula telah menyokong program kilang mengajar kerajaan dengan menghasilkan peluang kerja baharu dengan menghasilkan ABM yang dapat dipasarkan ke sekolah-sekolah vokasional lain yang memerlukan. Seterusnya penyelidik mencadangkan kajian tentang kesan penggabungan ABM PLC ini ke dalam satu trend pembelajaran makmal secara virtual.
